British actor Harry Lloyd, known for his role as Viserys Targaryen in 'Game of Thrones', will portray producer George Martin in the biographical films about The Beatles, directed by Sam Mendes. According to the specialized publication Variety, the producer's son, Giles Martin, confirmed Lloyd's participation in the four-film saga in a pre-recorded interview to be aired this Friday. Lloyd joins a confirmed cast that includes Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Harrison Dickinson as John Lennon, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, and Joseph Quinn as George Harrison. Martin was known as one of the 'Fifth Beatles,' a title attributed to various figures close to the group; in his case, for being the producer who worked on most of their work and one of the responsible for defining their distinctive sound. The Sony Pictures project, officially titled 'The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event,' is currently in production and is expected to continue until the end of 2026.
